DBJ: Report: Colorado businesses avoided costly programs, policies in 2023 legislative session

Colorado’s business climate “did not further deteriorate” during the 2023 legislative session, thanks in large part to business groups who fought regulations and policies that could have hurt the bottom line — that according to an annual report recently published by the Colorado Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber’s 2023 Annual Report highlights the organization’s accomplishments throughout the year and suggests that the business community’s worst fears about the session were not realized.

“The number of bills that made their way to Gov. Jared Polis’ desk that significantly bother business leaders were surprisingly few,” said Ed Sealover, vice president of strategic initiatives and editor at the Chamber.
