In honor of Black History Month, the Colorado Chamber is recognizing Black business owners, entrepreneurs, executives, and job creators who have grown their businesses from the ground up and are core to our local Colorado communities.
Today’s feature is Paschal Duru with Synergy Staffing Inc.
Paschal Duru is the founder and president of Synergy Staffing Inc., a company that specializes in providing administrative, health care and information technology staffing across the country.
Originally born in Nigeria, Duru moved to Denver in 1980 at the age of seven with his parents. He spent his formative years in Denver before attending California State University at Bakersfield (CSUB). While studying accounting and business administration, Duru was also on the CSUB wrestling team and finished second in the 1996 NCAA Division 1 Wrestling Championship.
“College was a great experience for several reasons, I had the opportunity to learn more about myself and grow as a student and an athlete. Being a student athlete was one of the best experiences that anyone could have,” Duru said.
Synergy Staffing was founded in 2005 by Duru and initially provided hospitals with qualified personnel such as nurses and allied health professionals. As the company continued to grow, Synergy Staffing began to expand their services to a variety of industries including administration, technology and more.
In addition to providing staffing services to the private sector, Synergy Staffing has been providing staffing to government agencies the since 2014 and has been successful in winning contracts with the Department of Defense, Department of Justice, and the Department of Agriculture.
With over 27 years of staffing experience, Synergy Staffing is driven by its ability to deliver timely and scalable solutions for all projects. In the last three years, Synergy Staffing has placed, nationally, more than 1000 employees with an exceptional retention rate and has managed projects with more than 200 employees.
