Inc. Magazine released its list of the 5,000 fastest-growing private ventures in the United States and 146 Colorado-based companies were included. The Inc. 5000 list has become a hallmark of entrepreneurial success and has had over 140 Colorado companies featured every year since 2020.
The rankings are determined based on the percentage of revenue growth for a set number of years. In order to qualify for the 2022 list, companies must have generated a minimum of $100,000 in 2018 and $2 million in 2021. All the companies are privately held, independent, and for-profit.
The Colorado companies on the list together added 14,285 jobs and generated $7.3 billion in total revenue. Of the 146 companies, 92 had made the list in the past and 25 were newly founded.
Inc. Magazine started the annual rankings in 1982 and listed 500 companies. It expanded to 5,000 in 2007, but only the top 500 are featured in the print magazine.
Twenty Colorado companies made the top 500 this year and two of those companies are Chamber members!
- Fluid Truck was listed in the 101st spot with 4,311% revenue growth
- Sheets & Giggles took the 309th spot with 1,849% revenue growth.
