Chamber Member Feature: Perseverance

In honor of Black History Month, the Colorado Chamber is recognizing Black business owners, entrepreneurs, executives, and job creators who have grown their businesses from the ground up and are core to our local Colorado communities.

Today’s feature is Mauricio Henderson with Perseverance

Perseverance Staffing is a creative business partner sustaining American jobs with 20-plus years of experience. Perseverance streamlines the recruitment process, delivering aligned talent and generating solutions to workforce challenges. These essential services include staff augmentation, direct-hire, and contract staffing.

Mauricio Henderson started Perseverance with the goal of building a brand that is driven by passion.

“By having a passion for helping others with employment opportunities, the vision and dream were to start a business brand that can contribute to society aligns with my passion and inspire and lead by example—established with clear ideas and goals that I wanted to accomplish when I started,” Mauricio said. “I started to identify problems that would be in my way of achieving them and worked on ways to overcome them to create a game plan to move forward and execute the vision.”

Perseverance has received wide recognition for its work. Recently, the company received the 2021 Gold HIRE Vets Medallion Award by the U.S. Secretary of Labor for the fourth year in a row. It was also recently accepted into the Small Business Administration’s 8(a) business development program,

“I understood early on my journey that the reality of success or greatness comes with a rollercoaster ride and about seeing something long-term and understanding that anything worthwhile doesn’t happen overnight,” Mauricio said. “Perseverance means staying committed and accepting the up and downs that life and business bring.”
