Tricia Smith is the Senior Vice President, Events and Political Fundraising at the Colorado Association of Commerce & Industry, the state chamber of commerce.  Her responsibilities at CACI include event sponsorship, budget, and execution; Board development, oversight of the campaign finance entities and engaging business leaders in advocacy for Colorado’s economic prosperity.

Prior to joining CACI, Tricia is a veteran in the airline industry, 15 years with Southwest Airlines, where she lead, coached, and managed the Southeast Region in Ground Operations and Marketing.  Earlier in her career, Tricia supported the Executive Team and served as an advocate for internal and external  customers.  Tricia’s vast airline experience achieved operational excellence, cultivated community relations and contributed to nationally award-winning customer service.

Tricia earned a full-ride athletic scholarship at Nicholls State University where she played Division I NCAA softball. Later she graduated from California State University, Chico with a business degree.

Tricia has a passion for travel, loves the outdoors and always looking for the next adventure. She lives in Denver, Colorado. Currently Tricia serves on the Board of Directors for the Women’s Leadership Foundation and in 2015 was chosen for American Enterprise Institute Leadership Network.
