CCCE: Colorado Chamber Executives
The Colorado Chamber of Commerce Executives (CCCE) is an organization of local chamber executives whose purpose is to improve
the professionalism of chambers, provide a forum for the exchange of ideas
and act as both a resource and a liaison to CACI.
CCCE provides continuing education and networking for local chamber executives.
CCCE conducts two conferences, one in the spring and one in the fall,
each year. To join CCCE, please download the CCCE dues schedule, fill it out and
send it, along with payment for the appropriate dues amount, to CCCE, 1600
Broadway, Suite 1000, Denver CO 80202-4935. The CCCE dues are based on a
calendar-year membership.
CCCE is governed by a Board of Directors.
CCCE Spring Conference Awards
The Colorado Association of Commerce and Industry (CACI) announced its Chamber of Commerce Spring Awards at the Colorado Chamber of Commerce Executives (CCCE) Conference in Aspen last week.
The "Largest Increase in Membership for 2007" trophy went to the award winning Fruita Area Chamber of Commerce with an incredible total increase in membership of 31.40%. Mary Lou Wilson, Executive Director, gave credit to her exceptional staff and successful programs. Mary Lou was also a presenter at the Conference.
Second Place in this category went to the Kremmling Area Chamber of Commerce with an excellent 27% increase in members. And third place was given to the Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce with a superb increase of 23%.
First place in the category of "Increase in Dues Revenue in 2007" was given to the Rifle Area Chamber of Commerce. The Rifle Chamber's increase in dues revenue was an outstanding 27%. Accepting for Rifle was Annick Pruett, Executive Director of the Chamber. When asked what the Rifle Chamber was doing to be so successful, Ms. Pruett attributed it to knowing her community and enthusiasm for her work.
Second place in this category was Crested Butte/Mt. Crested Butte Chamber of Commerce with an impressive 25% increase in due revenue. The Greater Woodland Park Chamber of Commerce took the trophy for third place with a remarkable 19% increase.
The"Most Money Raised by a Single Fundraiser" Award had two winners.
The award for Category One, the smaller chambers, went to the Greenwood Village Chamber of Commerce for the second year in a row for their annual community "GooseChase" which is a biking, walking/running race. The event includes "Corporate Teams" that allow local businesses to compete with each other and have a fun outing away from the workplace.
The Category Two Award, for the larger chambers, was presented to Sandy Evans-Hall of the Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort for raising money with their annual "Steamboat Marathon and Half Marathon". This event has been described as one of the 10 most scenic marathons and a top 10 destination marathon in North America by Runners World. It is also a qualifying run for the Boston Marathon. Sandy is the CCCE President Elect and will preside over this organization next year.
