Chuck Berry, CACI President
Chuck Berry brings 14 years of experience as a Colorado State Representative (1984-1998). For eight of those years (1991-1998), Berry was Speaker of the Colorado House of Representatives, the most powerful position in the Colorado General Assembly. He was first elected in 1984 and represented a district in Colorado Springs and El Paso County. Prior to joining CACI in mid-2000, Berry practiced with the law firm, Holme, Roberts and Owen. In January 1981, Berry was appointed El Paso County Attorney, and he served in that position until his election to the General Assembly in 1984. Berry earned a B.A. (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of Colorado in 1972 and a J.D. from the CU School of Law in 1975. Please click here for a full bio.
Loren Rachel Furman, CACI Vice President of Governmental Affairs
Furman analyzes legislation and works with the 100 members of the Colorado General Assembly to pass, amend, or defeat targeted legislation. She directs the lobbying activities of CACI’s three contract lobbyists and reports to Berry. Furman joined CACI in January 2008, having worked prior to that since December 2005 as the Legislative Director for the Colorado Department of Personnel and Administration (DPA). In that capacity, she worked with the Office of the Governor and the legislature on such issues as the state workforce, state facilities, purchasing, collections, telecommunications, contracts, risk management, printing and motor vehicles. Prior to holding the DPA position, Loren worked as a lobbyist for Floridian Partners in Tallahassee, Fla., from January 2002 to September 2005. Her clients included municipalities, businesses and trade associations. Loren represented her clients before the Florida Legislature, the Governor’s Office, and state and local government entities on legislative, budget and regulatory issues. Her work included such areas as insurance, telecommunications, public safety, information technology, business regulation, health care, tort reform, education, transportation and the environment. From March 2000 to January 2002, Loren worked as a legislative/policy analyst in the Majority Office of the Florida House of Representatives. Loren holds a B.S. and M.S. in political science from Florida State University.
Dan Anglin, CACI Governmental Affairs Representative
Dan spent two years as a member of the Legislative Council Staff of the Colorado General Assembly. As a member of Legislative Council, he conducted nonpartisan statutory research, resolved constituent concerns for all 100 members of the General Assembly and drafted analyses for the State Ballot Information Booklet (Blue Book). Before moving to Colorado, Dan worked in Arizona as a lobbyist for the Tucson Association of Realtors, where he represented the interests of more than 5,000 members on local issues facing the industry. Prior to lobbying, Dan worked for the Arizona State Legislature, serving as staff for the Arizona State Senate Committee of Natural Resources and Rural Affairs. Dan is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served from 1988 - 1992. He holds a B.A. from the University of Arizona.
Donnah Moody, CACI Governmental Affairs Representative
Moody joined CACI in the fall of 2005 and lobbied for CACI until the end of 2008, when she left to become a contract lobbyist. Moody will staff the CACI Energy and Environment Committee and be the lead lobbyist on these issues as well as working on other legislation. Before joining CACI, Moody was the chief lobbyist for four years for the Colorado Rural Electric Association. Moody's prior experience includes marketing and communications positions as well as political involvement. She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Colorado (Boulder).
Larry Hudson, CACI Governmental Affairs Representative
Larry Hudson is a lobbyist, governmental affairs consultant and attorney who manages Hudson Government Affairs LLC, a Colorado-based lobbying firm. He has represented CACI for the last five legislative sessions, focusing on labor and employment, government contracts and immigration legislation. Hudson served as a Senior Policy Advisor to Colorado Governor Bill Owens. He managed and worked for two of the largest lobbying law firms in the nation. Hudson holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law, a Master in Public Administration degree from the University of Colorado and a B.A. degree from East Carolina University.
